This position is responsible for shop production, ordering shop supplies and materials, shipping and receiving products, product quality control, documentation, tool control, and tool usage. It requires performance in a full range of routine and complex mechanical maintenance and repair, replacement and preventive maintenance of license plate equipment and is responsible for training and directing Persons in our Care on the maintenance and repair of production equipment. The position will review and make recommendations to the supervisor regarding purchasing of parts, labor and new equipment, and must be versed in the use of computers and multiple software programs for production, quality control, order management, and inventory information. The Correctional Enterprise Specialist Senior will demonstrate judgment and integrity, communicate effectively, be proactive, practice problem‑solving techniques, support continuous improvement, participate in day‑to‑day operations and promote accountability. with a starting pay of

$28.11 . Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A probationary period of one year is required. Benefits

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application. The Department of Corrections may conduct pre‑employment drug screens. The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting. This position is not eligible for remote work. Shift: Monday‑Friday 6:45am‑3:15pm. Qualifications

Performing production work in a manufacturing and/or production facility. Performing routine maintenance/troubleshooting machines used in a production facility. Utilizing computer applications such as ERP/MRP software and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
