Seasonal Dog Walker
to join our team at the Humane Society of Missouri!
We're looking for someone with at least
6 months of hands‑on dog handling experience , especially with large or strong dogs. This role involves walking shelter dogs—many of which are strong, energetic, and require confident handling. You'll be expected to maintain safe control at all times.
What We're Offering
Part‑time, seasonal role
$16 per hour
Flexible schedule – Weekends required
A chance to work directly with rescue animals and support their daily enrichment and care
What We're Looking For
At least 6 months of direct dog handling experience (shelter, daycare, boarding, vet clinic, etc.)
Confidence handling large or strong dogs
A reliable, safety‑conscious team member with a love for animals
Must be at least 18 years old
