Job Description Summary Sales Development Associate – covers routes without current coverage, sells products, manages merchandising, and meets sales and service objectives. $21.63/hour, $2,400 annual car allowance, $300 monthly gas card.
Responsibilities
Call on accounts and cover daily routes that lack coverage by creating an efficient routing pattern.
Strategize and preplan to achieve sales and merchandising objectives, review company pricing and product information monthly, and maintain accurate historical account purchase data.
Maintain product levels in accounts by taking inventory and restocking shelves where legal.
Ensure maximum brand visibility by using effective and current point-of-sale materials when appropriate.
Service accounts by delivering products to customers in extenuating circumstances, handling customer issues and complaints, and referring issues to management as needed.
May be expected to obtain payment depending on the market.
Provide extended route coverage in some circumstances.
Attain performance standards by achieving distribution, volume, and activity goals for supplier brands as set by management.
Ensure national account compliance by accurately completing all necessary surveys.
Other duties may be assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience.
No prior experience required.
Basic PC skills using MS Office and other computer programs, including presentation software.
Results‑oriented professional with verbal and written communication skills, diplomacy, discretion, and customer service skills.
Ability to multi‑task, work independently or in a team, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
Analytic and reporting skills.
Utilize sound judgment and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to hold a Solicitor’s Permit.
Understanding of wine and spirits.
Strong computer, customer service, and interpersonal expertise.
Preferred previous sales experience.
Physical Requirements
Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.
Competencies
Accountable for meeting own targets; work is reviewed periodically.
Problems encountered will be defined, repetitive, and routine with solutions readily available.
