Position Overview: This role seeks an experienced Oracle Database & Systems Administrator to support and enhance a complex financial system environment, including Oracle EBS and multiple Oracle APEX applications. The position focuses on system stability, security, upgrades, and deployments, requiring strong expertise in Oracle technologies and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment. Duties:
Administer and support Oracle databases (v19), including maintenance, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning Manage and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite (R12) in a Linux environment, including system administration tasks Support and deploy changes for Oracle APEX applications (versions 21 and 24), including workflow features Perform quarterly security patching, system updates, and database upgrades Troubleshoot and resolve system, application, and database issues, including creating and managing Oracle service requests Utilize Oracle database job scheduler for automation and batch processing Write and maintain SQL and PL/SQL scripts, including scripts for routine data loads Support migrations from on-premise environments (PCA) to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Collaborate with cross-functional teams while also working independently to deliver solutions Provide accurate effort estimates and communicate progress effectively to stakeholders Apply RDBMS best practices and adhere to SDLC methodologies (Agile and Waterfall) Create and maintain clear, usable technical documentation Support environments across both Windows and Linux operating systems Assist in designing Oracle-based solutions and contributing to software development efforts Participate in off-hours work, including nights and weekends, to support patching and deployments
