
Strategic Organizational Communications Specialist

Supporting the corporate office of Express Employment International, the Strategic Organizational Communications Specialist will play a key role in bringing our internal communications to life; helping shape clear, consistent, and inspiring messages that keep employees informed, engaged, and aligned with our mission.
In this role, you’ll master our full suite of internal channels (newsletters, digital platforms, emails, and more) while partnering closely with EPMO, subject matter experts, and Marketing to develop and deploy strategic communication plans for major projects, initiatives, and our company-wide strategic plan. You’ll dive into content creation -- researching, interviewing, writing, editing, and polishing compelling stories that resonate across print and digital formats.
This position sits within our Oklahoma City based corporate office, currently with an expectation to be onsite 80% of the time.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the management of internal communication channels, including newsletters, print and digital platforms, and targeted employee emails
Develop, write, coordinate, and implement strategic communication plans for enterprise projects and corporate Headquarters initiatives
Curate content contributions from internal and external sources throughout the content development process
Maintain the editorial calendar for all internal channels
Conduct interviews with sources, write articles, edit, and proofread materials for distribution across channels
Partner with creative and video production teams to deploy communications through internal channels and repurpose external content for internal audiences
Deliver project management support for internal and external deliverables
Research and recommend improvements to existing communications channels using best practices and performance analytics
Establish effective tracking methods for communications, define metrics, analyze outcomes, and present findings with actionable recommendations
Support the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives that promote information sharing and collaboration
Update the employee intranet site with timely information, articles, and announcements
Education & Experience Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in journalism, communications or related fields
3-5 years’ experience performing equivalent work in an agency or corporate communications environment
Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills, as well as strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interface with senior management and influence outcomes
Ability to work within and across multiple teams
Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues within a short period of time are crucial to the position
Highly organized, with a strong ability to independently manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment
Proactive, goal‑oriented individuals comfortable with technology and digital tools
Role is hands‑on with a need to think strategically and execute
