Mid-Level Brand Designer

We’re looking for a thoughtful, concept-driven designer with a strong foundation in brand identity to join our team. This role requires solid typographic skills, the ability to develop distinctive logos and identity systems, and a desire to grow within a collaborative, strategy-led environment. This role may be fully remote; however, candidates in Maryland, DC, or Virginia are preferred for occasional in-person meetings and site visits. Responsibilities Support the development of brand identity projects from concept through implementation Design across brand applications and touchpoints, including print, digital, and environmental work Collaborate with writers, strategists, and creative directors to translate ideas into cohesive design solutions Create and contribute to branding presentations for clients and stakeholders Build working relationships with clients, consultants, and internal teams Manage assigned project tasks and timelines with guidance from senior team members Prepare production-ready files and coordinate with vendors to ensure quality execution Document and organize work for Ashton’s portfolio and marketing materials Standout Qualities Strong creative and typographic sensibility with attention to detail Clear communicator with strong presentation and interpersonal skills Proactive, organized, and eager to learn Able to balance speed with craft and accuracy Collaborative and receptive to feedback Experience Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of industry experience with a focus on brand identity Strong conceptual thinking and ability to communicate design ideas clearly Experience designing logos and contributing to brand identity systems Solid understanding of typography, hierarchy, and layout Familiarity with brand architecture and identity components Knowledge of production techniques, materials, and specifications Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and time management skills Key Skills Adobe Creative Cloud + Figma Google Workspace: Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, or WordPress is a plus Motion, 3D, or illustration skills are a plus Salary Range Salary Range: $45-65k.
