Social Media Manager
Dave Campbell's Texas Sports, Lewisville, TX, United States
We’re looking for someone to own social, end to end. You’re building the system, setting the standard, and driving results.
You’ll lead how we show up across Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging platforms, balancing always-on content with big moments, product pushes, and brand partnerships.
This position sits at the center of everything: content, marketing, and sales. If it touches the audience, social should be part of it, and you’ll make sure it is.
If you want to own something and make it better every day, this role is for you.
What You’re Responsible For: Own the roadmap
Build and run the social content calendar across all platforms
Balance daily output with key moments, campaigns, and launches
Identify upcoming opportunities in sports, culture, and seasonal moments and plan for them early
Develop a YouTube strategy from end to end, with a strong focus on growing and optimizing Shorts
Drive content that wins
Turn raw ideas into clear, executable briefs with strong hooks and formats
Ensure every piece of content is built for the platform it lives on
Push for content that people actually watch, share, and come back for
Lead the operation
Manage and develop a small, growing social team
Work closely with editors, designers, and producers to get content out at a high level
Keep things moving in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Be the connector
Partner with content, video, and editorial teams to align on priorities
Work with sales to execute social-first brand partnerships
Collaborate with marketing and product on launches and growth initiatives
Make sure social thinking is built in early, not layered on later
Build systems that scale
Create workflows for planning, production, approvals, and publishing
Develop repeatable processes that improve speed and consistency
Use performance data to refine what we do and how we do it
What You’re Good At
You know what works on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and X (and what doesn’t)
You use data to make decisions and know how to pull insights from tools like Sprout to improve performance
You understand hooks, pacing, retention, and why people stop scrolling
You can spot trends early and quickly figure out how to apply them
You have helped grow accounts and can point to real results
You can give clear, actionable feedback that makes content better
How You Operate
You don't wait for direction, you come with ideas
You care about performance, not just output
You are comfortable switching between strategy and execution
You are willing to jump in when needed, whether that is posting, editing, or covering a live moment
You can coach and develop junior team members while also confidently presenting strategy and performance to leadership
Experience
5+ years in social media, including both strategy and execution
Experience in sports, media, entertainment, or a high-volume content environment is a strong plus
Bonus
Experience working on brand partnerships or sponsored content
Comfortable capturing or editing content when needed
Strong understanding of sports culture and fan communities
Application Requirements
Resume
A portfolio or examples of social content you have created, personal or professional, is required
A short cover letter explaining why you are a fit for this role is strongly encouraged
