We are in the midst of an important period of transformation as we work to strengthen our marketing, digital presence, customer engagement, and overall retail execution. Position Overview The Marketing Manager is a new role created to establish the marketing function, create consistent communications, and increase customer engagement capability across Princeton University Store. This position will lead the planning and execution of marketing initiatives to support revenue growth, digital performance, event promotion, customer connection, and a more consistent brand expression across customer‑facing touchpoints. The Marketing Manager will join leadership as it develops a broader strategic foundation and will help translate that work into campaigns, communications, content, and engagement initiatives as it continues to evolve. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage a marketing calendar aligned with seasonal business priorities, key University moments, major selling periods, and store initiatives. Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns across physical and digital channels. Lead customer‑facing communications, including email, newsletters, campaign messaging, event communications, and promotional storytelling. Partner with merchandising and e‑commerce to support product launches, promotions, seasonal narratives, and digital content needs. Improve the consistency and quality of marketing execution across campaigns, communications, digital channels, and physical touchpoints. Help bring an emerging Princeton University Store retail identity and expression framework to life across customer‑facing channels. Support the development of future retail expression tools such as packaging, collection naming, storytelling architecture, and related systems as appropriate. Manage external creative, production, and freelance partners as needed. Use customer, sales, digital, and campaign data to improve marketing performance and guide decision‑making. Identify, test, and apply AI and emerging technologies that improve speed, insight, workflow efficiency, and the overall sophistication of the marketing function. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Retail Merchandising, or a related field. 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, customer engagement, or related roles within a consumer‑facing organization. Experience in retail, omnichannel commerce, lifestyle, higher education‑related retail, cultural institutions, or mission‑driven environments strongly preferred. Strong command of marketing planning, campaign development, communications, and promotional execution. Experience with email marketing, digital content planning, social media coordination, and audience engagement. Strong writing, editorial judgment, and messaging skills. Ability to work cross‑functionally and manage multiple priorities with discipline and follow‑through. Comfort using data to evaluate performance and improve outcomes. Demonstrated fluency with AI and emerging technology tools, with the ability to apply them responsibly and practically to improve speed, quality, creativity, analysis, and operational efficiency. Familiarity with e‑commerce environments and digital merchandising support. Experience with NetSuite, SuiteCommerce, or similar platforms is helpful. #J-18808-Ljbffr
