WJCL 22 is hiring: Photographer in Savannah

Local News Photographer WJCL, the ABC affiliate in Savannah, GA, is looking for a photographer capable of capturing and vividly conveying the day’s news stories in the field and bringing them into the homes of our viewers. Responsibilities Shooting and editing of VOs, VO‑SOTs and packages for broadcast air and online postings Work with the Assignment Desk and Reporters to cover daily stories Shoot on assigned professional camera equipment Edit in Adobe Premiere and use ENG, SNG, and wireless data to feed completed work to the station Gather video and still photographs for digital platforms Work with reporters and producers to ensure the best content and facts are gathered Work with producers to realize their creative vision with vivid video and natural sound Coordinate incoming video elements from crews in the field Use catalog systems to save/store, record and locate necessary video Produce and publish content to our online platforms Maintain gear and equipment, ensuring organization and attention to detail Requirements Training in video photojournalism Professional or college newsroom experience Ability to carry up to 50 pounds of equipment Experience with ENG trucks Ability to work in all weather conditions Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Proficiency with digital editing tools, including Adobe Premiere, Precis, and CNN platforms Strong organizational and prioritization skills Unwavering journalistic integrity and ethical standards Capacity to handle the stresses and pressures of time‑sensitive newscast production Related military experience considered an asset In‑person attendance required Benefits Hearst's benefit programs are modern, flexible and designed to focus on you.
