Role Description
This is a hybrid Public Relations Intern role based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. As a Public Relations Intern, you will assist with drafting press releases, liaising with media outlets, managing public relations campaigns, and supporting overall communication strategies. Responsibilities include cultivating media relationships, developing strategic communication plans, and ensuring effective press engagement to highlight key brand initiatives.

What You’ll Work On

Build targeted media and writer lists across culture, creative, and New York based outlets

Identify and research photographers and contributors for potential editorial coverage

Draft thoughtful outreach angles and press language (no generic pitching)

Support the development of a clear, concise press narrative for the studio

Maintain a structured tracker for outreach, responses, and follow-ups

Support light social and announcement copy tied to key moments

Qualifications

Strong skills in Press Releases and Public Relations

Experience with Media Relations and building professional networks

Capability in Communication and Strategic Communications

Enthusiasm for culture, branding, and storytelling

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Familiarity with the New York City cultural landscape is a plus

Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
