Property Underwriting AVP

Our scaling fronting carrier client – one of the largest managers of specialty program premium globally - is adding to their Property Programs Team and looking for an AVP-level technical property underwriter to help Underwrite and manage a dozen programs from a referral and cross functional standpoint to ensure the continued success of these books.

The ideal candidate will have a strong production/portfolio underwriting background in any mix of admitted and commercial E&S property business (MGA/fronting carrier experience is a plus, but not mandatory), and will have experience interfacing with back-office departments and externally with brokers and other leaders running due diligence of underwriting guidelines, forms, market analysis and more.

This position will join a team of proactive and detail-oriented underwriters around the U.S. and must report to the client’s NYC office 2-3 days a week. This role comes with a competitive base salary, bonus opportunity, and benefits.
