Overview
Our client, an American insurance company providing personal, business, bond, and specialty insurance, is looking to hire a Marketing Director to join their team in Hartford, Connecticut . This is an initial 6-month hybrid contract opportunity.
As their Integrated Marketing Director , you will support and work on an integrated marketing campaign development and support internal clients and business partners to ensure marketing strategies deliver results based on business objectives.
Contract Duration: Initial 6-month contract (with possibility of extension).
Responsibilities
- Develop creative briefs grounded in insights and provide thought starters to the creative teams.
- Share creative briefs with key channel partners to develop integrated marketing campaigns meeting business needs; collaborate with marketing and channel leads to establish approach, deliverables, and timing.
- Provide clear, thoughtful, and strategic marketing recommendations to meet business objectives.
- Lead the execution and oversight of designated campaigns with cross-functional teams, coordinating with planning managers and/or project management.
- Communicate effectively to channel partners, planning managers, and project management throughout campaign development and execution.
- Use written and verbal communication to inform, brief, persuade, and summarize across internal, external, and client audiences.
- Understand and uphold brand standards and ensure compliance with brand guidelines.
- Provide clear and thoughtful feedback on creative work, inspire creative talent, and ensure outcomes align with approved strategies.
- Generate new ideas based on a thorough understanding of business objectives.
- Provide strategic input to planning managers in developing integrated marketing campaigns.
- Contribute to content development with thoughtful, strategic input.
- Ensure budgets and timelines are realistically set and met.
- Advise partners on priorities and trade-offs based on budget and logistical constraints; recommend additional or alternative resources when needed.
- Maintain knowledge of advertising and media platforms and trends.
Qualifications/Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in advertising, marketing, or related field.
- Strong account management skills and working knowledge of project management.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing and digital advertising platforms, including digital, web, video production, field marketing, paid media, and social media.
- Strong computer skills; expert knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proven track record working with and managing multiple clients and internal teams on marketing campaigns and creative development.
- Ability to successfully work in a matrix organization.
- Proven ability to build and lead strong internal team/client relationships and effectively motivate teams.
- Excellent organizational ability with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Strong analytic skills and ability to make sound decisions.
- Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
- Minimum of 1 year of leadership or team lead experience.
