Role Objectives:

Soley focused on driving Moose Toys’ global e-Commerce strategy with a primary focus of driving our Amazon volume and revenue. This role will be focused on attacking the ‘white space’ across all facets of e-Commerce to drive scalable and sustainable growth at a global level.

This role will be the global partner for Amazon and look at opportunities with Amazon to drive Moose product globally and at scale – aiming to secure a strategic partnership with them.

Additionally, this role will be accountable for establishing and executing Moose Toy’s DTC strategy – aiming to take it from zero to hero and helping to define how Moose Toys differentiates itself in this space with its product, offering and go to market strategy.

Supporting the Chief Commercial Officer, this will bring a true global approach to driving best practice for eCommerce across Moose Toys and will partner with regional sales teams, marketing and product development to ensure we are maximizing our portfolio and aligning with any specific needs in the eCommerce space.

Qualifications:

· 10–15+ years in sales leadership, preferably in global or enterprise roles.

· Experience building and scaling global sales teams.

· Preferred candidate based in Los Angeles.

· A bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent, is required.

Responsibilities:

Develop and Lead Global eCommerce Strategy

  • Responsible for defining Moose’s global eCommerce strategy laddering up to the BHAG and aligning with CCO on how Moose Toys will deliver its sales targets and deliver scalable growth
  • Create a global long tail strategy in conjunction with marketing and operations leads to drive incremental profit for Moose.
  • In addition to Amazon, detail priority eCommerce accounts at a global level and define how to best
  • Coordinate and standardise the approach to working with eCommerce partners and how to best sell through them
  • Explore new white space eCommerce offerings and drive growth in this space, i.e. Taobao, Jumia, JD.com, Rakuten, Coupang etc.
  • Work with Category Leads, Product and other Sale steams to ensure that the right products are available to service our e-Commerce partners (with a focus on Amazon requirements)

Drive Global Amazon Account

  • Lead and oversee the global amazon business including shipments targets, COB, sell-through plan, marketing investments, on site-advertising, and content execution.
  • Take an active role in planning global AMZ exclusives, eCom value bundles, and eCom packaging, including SIOC.
  • For new DTR markets, work in conjunction with local teams to determine amazon launch strategy (item offerings, pricing structure, SIOC, areas to focus to drive traffic and conversion, inventory planning, terms, event participation, etc.)
  • In conjunction with Marketing, create global best practices around Amazon Advertising, including budgeting methods, when to use each ad types, anticipated ROI, etc.
  • Communicate global plans for how Amazon/Moose is handling brand launches and pre-orders
  • Be the internal expert on all global amazon developments and share changes/developments with local team and stakeholders
  • In existing Amazon DTR markets, work with local teams to share knowledge, best practices, DTR markets with existing Amazon business, work in conjunction with local teams to share knowledge, create a long tail strategy etc.
  • Lead implementation of new amazon programs – ie., Transparency, SIOC, Brand Registry
  • Define, build and manage the DTC strategy for Moose Toys – defining the level of investment, targets, success metrics and go to market approach
  • Build the required capability within the eCommerce team and across the business to deliver on Moose’s DTC ambitions
  • Oversee and manage the required systems and backend infrastructure to deliver on the DTC strategy
  • Work with Marketing and Product on defining the DTC product offering, i.e. which brands, DTC exclusives, collaborations etc.
  • Continuously improve and monitor the ROI on our DTC offering ensuring it is value accretive for Moose Toys

People Management

  • Regularly review resourcing requirements for the department and recruits, interviews, selects and trains new staff;
  • Oversee the day-to-day workloads and performance of direct reports towards the achievement of agreed objectives, through the provision of clear direction, coaching and support;
  • Work with direct reports to set individual KPIs, and conduct regular reviews in-line with the Moose Performance Management Program;
  • Manage the training and professional development of team members, with an emphasis on providing timely and constructive feedback on a regular basis; and
  • Champion the Moose culture to ensure direct reports deliver on The Wow

Work Hours

8:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Thursday

8:30am – 3:00pm, Friday

Plus, reasonable additional hours due to multiple time-zones.

Moose also provides flexible working options.

Travel

Approximately 20% domestic travel may be required.

Salary Band

USD $285,000 - $305,000
