National Sales Manager (Wholesale apparel)

Overview

Our client is a premier company specializing in print-on-demand and screen printing. They have a long history in Direct to Garment Print (DTG) and POD fulfillment, and are positioned at the forefront of a rapidly growing market with strong earning potential for the right candidate. They recently entered the direct-to-retail market servicing specialty stores in 2023 and are expanding into mid-tier and mass markets.

Location

Location: Remote or office-based position with global headquarters located in San Jose, California.

Key Responsibilities

  • Closing new business
  • Prospecting for new accounts through various methods such as internet research, participating in trade shows, social media, and cold calls
  • Evaluate new prospects to ensure alignment with company growth strategies and operational capabilities
  • Manage prospecting and selling processes through understanding customer needs at multiple tiers of distribution. Studies the market in depth
  • Proficiency to create sales presentations focused on individual customer needs and business opportunities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key retailers and brands
  • Collaborate with creative and licensing teams to develop go-to-market sales strategies and promotions
  • Achieve sales targets and goals
  • Attend and present at weekly meetings with Sales Leadership, providing regular reports on progress

Qualifications

  • Strong network of contacts among major retailers and brands
  • Proven sales experience in apparel
  • Excellent written, negotiation, presentation, and verbal communication skills
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative collaborator
  • Strong analytical, project management, mathematics, problem-solving and organizational skills; strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Self-motivated and results-driven
  • Excellent strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Must be able to travel nationally and internationally as necessary
  • Advanced proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other appropriate software

Compensation and Benefits

  • $100K - $120K annually, depending on experience plus variable compensation based on sales
  • Health, vision, and dental benefits (after 90 days of employment)
