Director - Cyber Risk Advisory | East Coast, US
Adeptis Group is proud to partner with a high-growth cybersecurity consultancy on a strategic leadership hire as they expand their Risk Advisory offering across North America. This is a unique opportunity for a proven cyber risk leader to take ownership of a practice area, shape go-to-market strategy, and build a scalable team from the ground up.
The business, a well-funded, boutique firm, is on an exciting trajectory and seeks a Director to lead Risk & GRC engagements, drive revenue growth, and build a high-performing delivery function.
The Role
As Director of Cyber Risk Advisory, you will take full ownership of developing and scaling a national practice. This role involves not just delivery but building something impactful. You will work closely with the executive team, lead strategic client engagements, shape service offerings, and represent the business at the highest levels.
You will be empowered to:
- Define and execute the growth strategy for Risk Advisory services
- Build a US-based delivery team across multiple locations
- Lead complex GRC and compliance engagements across finance, healthcare, legal, and critical infrastructure sectors
- Engage directly with CISOs, Boards, and Legal stakeholders to address regulatory and cyber risk challenges
- Collaborate with teams across Digital Forensics, Threat Intelligence, and Managed Services
- Influence service development across frameworks like NIST, ISO, CMMC, HIPAA, CIS, and PCI-DSS
- Identify and convert new business opportunities
Your Background
You are a senior consulting leader with a commercial mindset and a passion for building. You have delivered complex cyber advisory engagements and understand how to earn trust at the board level while leading diverse technical teams.
- 8+ years in cybersecurity risk advisory, with leadership experience
- A proven track record of winning and leading consulting engagements
- Ideally, experience in a Big 4, tier-1 consultancy, or specialist cyber advisory firm
- Deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, NYDFS, SOX, CMMC)
- Strong proposal-writing and commercial skills
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, or CRISC
- Willingness to travel
