The Director, Digital Portfolio & Transformation serves as a strategic partner and extension of the Chief Digital & Data Officer (CDDO), enabling the effective prioritization, governance, and execution of the Digital & Data Office (DDO) agenda.
This role translates strategic intent into coordinated action across a complex portfolio of initiatives, teams, and stakeholders. It ensures that investment decisions, delivery priorities, and organizational efforts are aligned to the highest-impact outcomes.
You will provide organizational‑level visibility and leadership across a ~$40M+ technology investment portfolio and a 200+ employee size organization, acting as a central point of orchestration across product, engineering, data, and operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead portfolio‑level prioritisation across DDO initiatives, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives and optimal allocation of resources
- Drive trade‑off decisions across competing initiatives, balancing value, risk, and capacity constraints
- Establish and govern portfolio‑level investment frameworks, ensuring clear visibility of ROI, outcomes, and value realisation
- Lead the development and ongoing management of the DDO budget, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, financial discipline, and effective allocation of resources across the portfolio
- Partner with Finance, Strategy and senior leadership to ensure disciplined investment decisions across the portfolio
- Provide a single, integrated view of portfolio performance to the CDDO and executive stakeholders
- Help lead and support the development of DDO strategy, translating organizational objectives into clear strategic priorities, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes
- Translate digital transformation strategy into execution by aligning priorities, resources, and delivery plans across the DDO
- Shape, frame and enable executive‑level decision‑making through structured analysis, options, and recommendations
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CDDO and DDO leadership team on strategic priorities and transformation initiatives
- Drive accountability across teams to ensure delivery of strategic outcomes
- Drive execution discipline across the portfolio, ensuring that strategic priorities translate into measurable outcomes
- Intervene in critical delivery challenges, enabling rapid resolution of cross‑functional blockers and risks
- Establish and maintain a consistent operating rhythm (leadership cadence, performance tracking, governance, and reporting)
- Lead and enable the delivery of IB’s digital transformation agenda across products, platforms, and operating model
- Identify systemic issues and opportunities, driving continuous improvement and transformation at scale
- Support the evolution of the DDO operating model to enhance efficiency, agility, and delivery effectiveness
- Develop executive‑level communications, board materials, and strategic narratives for the DDO
- Provide clear, concise, and timely updates on portfolio performance, risks, and outcomes
Qualifications
Extensive hands‑on experience in driving end‑to‑end digital transformation initiatives, leveraging emerging technologies to optimise processes and deliver measurable business impact
Strong understanding of product software development processes, methodologies (esp. Scrum), and technologies.
Experience collaborating with diverse teams, including Product managers, software developers, instructional designers, educators, and administrators.
Experience developing and managing a complex departmental budget
Experience building and managing a team.
