Job Description
Assist the Event & Retail Manager to cost-effectively drive non-media lead generation and local awareness through the following marketing tactics: events/shows, showrooms, corporate partnerships, retail partnerships, community groups, HOA's, company-created events and more.
Please note: this position has a significant weekend work requirement of a minimum 40 partial or full weekends per year and requires significant travel throughout the territory: Traverse City, Grand Rapids, Saginaw, Kalamazoo, Coldwater, etc.
Primary Responsibilities
In field coaching, training and booth work.
Recruiting and interviewing.
Classroom training. Teaching staff methodology, rebuttals, process and procedures.
Managing the department calendar, negotiating with event sponsors and outside vendors to procure space and to obtain the best value for the investment, and overseeing participation in events, sponsorship, retail partnerships and creation of lead-gen opportunities based on established objectives, including on‑site administration, resource supervision and other implementation details.
Collaborating with partners within Renewal to drive results.
Communicating results and strategy with management.
Direction of Others
Providing leadership, coaching, training and oversight to marketing representatives to ensure effective performance of 15+ marketing representatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing/communications preferred or equivalent demonstrated skills and abilities.
2 years of experience in sales/marketing, planning events and/or managing sales/retail teams.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to think strategically, with strong project management skills, including attention to detail.
Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills.
Pay Range
$47,843.00 - $74,157.00
