About the Anchor Role
As an Anchor, you are the face of a story, connecting audiences with the news that matters to their communities. You're also a leader behind the scenes, playing an active role in editorial discussions and decisions. You play a critical role on a collaborative team that creates compelling, timely, and accurate content intended to engage and connect with viewers across traditional and digital platforms.

What You'll Bring to Spectrum News
Required Qualifications
Experience : Television news anchoring - 5‑7 years
Education : Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field or comparable television work experience
Technical Skills : Experience in live shooting and editing news
Skills : Excellent on‑air camera skills, ability to work under pressure
Abilities : Leadership skills, capable of managing multiple priorities as well as a proactive problem‑solver, lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds
Travel Ability : Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community
Schedule : Work different shifts or longer shifts due to "breaking news" and severe weather emergencies and able to work weekends and holidays

Experience working in a 24‑hour news channel
Working Conditions
Works inside in a climate‑controlled environment but may be assigned to field duties and be subjected to various weather conditions that could include extreme heat or cold conditions.
