Job Title : Area Vice President, Sales - Northeast
Reports To : Vice President, Sales
Location : Preference to Live in the Metro NYC, Boston or Philly marketplace.
Territories : Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Eastern VA, New Jersey, New York
Business Unit Description : Enovis Surgical provides orthopedic solutions for total joint arthroplasty, with products including EMPOWR 3D Knee and AltiVate Reverse Shoulder, among others.
What You’ll Do
As a key member of the Sales Team, you will play an integral part in helping Enovis drive the medical technology industry forward through transforming patient care and creating better patient outcomes.
Area Vice President, Sales - Northeast – will be responsible for leading a team of direct and indirect sales employees to achieve revenue goals through strategic and tactical sales activities that maximize total company sales and profitability. The role includes developing and monitoring sales strategy, field sales effectiveness, processes and sales plans to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales objectives. The incumbent will recruit, develop, coach and direct Sales Representatives, Sales Associates and Distributor Partners within defined markets. They must have a growth mindset, strong collaboration with internal and external partners, and proficiency in revenue generation as well as non-revenue objectives that impact cash flow and financial health. They are the general managers of their areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy Development: Set a vision for area sales force that aligns with the company vision and plans; develop plans to achieve sales goals; implement comprehensive strategies targeting key surgeons, new markets and growth opportunities.
- Engage Field Selling Org on Sales Funnel adoption; lead generation, qualifying, presenting, training, closing.
- Assist distributors and representatives with sales calls on all product lines; focus on NPI launches and critical product categories.
- Align with sales leadership and Field Sales Team on strategic/critical case coverage needs.
- Work with Commercial Education to train and educate new Sales Representatives, including NPI launches.
- Attain quarterly and annual business plan, revenue, and gross profit objectives; manage budget/spend within financial plan.
- Review expense reports and ensure timely regional expense reporting.
- Perform sales analysis, forecasting, and field cadence; provide management reports as requested.
- Drive cash flow and support Open PO, Accounts Receivable and field inventory management.
- Coordinate with Marketing and internal resources to maximize efficiency; monitor market and competitive developments.
- Provide input to Marketing and Senior Leadership on market trends and competitive strategies.
- Ensure effective communication with Sales, Corporate Accounts and Marketing teams; collaborate across functions toward broader goals.
Key Account Management
- Grow and maintain relationships with key surgeons and accounts; provide exceptional customer service and case coverage as needed.
- Assess customer needs and prepare strategic plans to optimize satisfaction and business goals.
- Develop solutions that meet customer needs and drive business objectives; support access with pricing and contracting teams.
Competitive and Market Analysis
- Monitor competitive landscape and industry trends; identify market gaps and advise on product or service offerings.
- Develop counter-strategies to maintain or enhance competitive position.
Supervisory Responsibility
- Leads a team of indirect agents and distributor partners; develops and manages sales strategies to drive sales and gross profit.
- Develops talent, staffing, and provides hiring, training and development for the sales organization in the region.
- Coaches, mentors and conducts performance management; performs field visits to address development needs.
Regulatory and Compliance
- Demonstrates commitment to Enovis Compliance & Ethics Program and applicable regulations and codes of conduct.
- Treats PHI with confidentiality per HIPAA; adheres to regulatory guidelines.

Minimum Basic Qualifications
- 12+ years of surgical sales experience, preferably in strategic sales, training or sales leadership.
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets and driving growth in competitive markets.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Must reside in the area under responsibility.
Travel Requirements
- Up to 75% travel; typical assignments 1-5 days with overnight stays.
- Position requires car and air travel; works in the field with customers 60% of the work week.
