About The Job
Google’s technical infrastructure — its global network of data centers and fiber-optic cables — is the essential foundation powering all our products and AI capabilities across Alphabet. Our team promotes and defends Google’s technical infrastructure story, which includes the community and energy programs that make our infrastructure possible. As part of the Google Cloud Communications team in Global Communications and Public Affairs (GCPA), it’s our job to help inform and educate customers, partners, opinion leaders — and our own employees — about the benefits of our products, our company culture & values, and our approach to the big public policy issues of the day.

As a key member of the Google Cloud Communications team, you will work cross-functionally to shape our communications strategy for the energy, water, and efficiency programs that make Google’s global infrastructure and AI innovation possible. You'll maintain strong relationships with journalists and influencers, develop written materials and campaigns, create new programs and counter misinformation that interferes with our business and ability to serve our customers and users. A major part of the role is collaborating with executives across the organization, bringing a deep understanding of the technologies and policies impacting the industry today.
