Job Description
Under general supervision, responsible for monitoring the performance, maintenance, and operation of multi‑media audio visual equipment in a classroom/conference room setting. Provides continual review and improvement of systems performance and services for the Institution.
Responsibilities
Assists with providing training, support and problem resolution on the use of multimedia audiovisual equipment and technology.
Creates and maintains technical procedures documentation.
Designs setup for off‑site events and provides direct supervision of event support staff.
Oversees the delivery of supplemental equipment in support of events both on and off campus.
Assists in researching and recommending classroom technology upgrades, control systems programming and debugging.
Ensures responsible use of hardware, software, peripheral equipment, tools and test equipment.
Works closely with internal IMS services to ensure functionality of resources.
Assists with providing general supervision on all projects.
May serve as a project team leader for services and initiatives including planning, development, testing, and implementation.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge of current computing, networking and communications systems and ability to perform effectively with an understanding of institutional policies and activities.
Ability to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair enhanced classroom audiovisual systems and interactive video conference (IVC) room systems and complete complex technical projects.
Ability to use personal computer and other office equipment.
Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and coordinate work within schedule constraints and handle emergent requirements in a timely manner.
A solid customer service acumen and interpersonal skills to effectively work with both internal and external customers and respond to requests in a timely and respectful manner.
Ability to learn new technologies and work with teams to provide input on improvements to existing processes and systems.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Education
High school diploma or GED is required.
Experience
Three (3) years of related experience is required.
