Overview
Sares Regis Group of Newport Beach, California is a privately held real estate development, investment and management firm focused on commercial and multifamily communities in the western U.S. OPPORTUNITY: FLOATING COMMUNITY MANAGER – NORTHERN CALIFORNIA. Rental Discount Available!
Responsibilities
Hire, train and develop a competent team.
Oversee daily operations, including reviewing rent recommendations to maximize income.
Collect rents and manage legal delinquent rent procedures; enforce resident insurance compliance; ensure adherence to screening criteria and resident retention procedures.
Complete weekly and monthly reports accurately; approve invoices and ensure timely data entry.
Conduct performance analysis, produce variance reports, and initiate annual budgets and forecasts.
Identify market challenges, educate staff and regional manager, and create effective marketing plans.
Bid out recurring contract work (unit cleaning, painting, landscaping) to secure quality and price; verify contractor insurance, lien waivers, quality, and timeliness.
Implement OSHA and other safety procedures; conduct routine safety meetings and maintain up‑to‑date MSDS information.
Collaborate with the maintenance supervisor on potential repairs, capital projects, and curb appeal standards.
Read, follow and implement company handbooks, property policy manuals, and governing documents.
Qualifications
Excellent problem‑solving, interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Community Manager of 100+ units.
Strong sales skills.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals; write reports and business correspondence.
Proficient in basic mathematics: calculate figures, percentages, areas, discounts, interest, commissions.
Proven ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
Knowledge of operations software: Outlook, Internet software, Excel, Word.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $50.00 – $51.93/hour. Benefits include 401(K) match, rental incentive and renewal compensation, bonuses, rental discounts (location dependent), medical, dental, vision, voluntary benefits, vacation accrual, and sick time accrual in accordance with law for full‑time employees working 30‑40 hours a week.
