Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:
Develop and execute business development strategies for new market opportunities
Analyze industry trends and competitor activities
Client Management:
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Conduct regular meetings and presentations
Communicate fluently in Japanese and English
Proposal Development:
Lead preparation of client proposals and pitches
Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling presentations
Mentor and supervise Business Development team members
Set and track team goals and KPIs
Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities
Monitor and evaluate initiative effectiveness
Requirements
10+ years of experience in business development, marketing, or related fields
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or relevant discipline
Bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English
Strong communication and presentation skills in both languages
Proven client relationship management experience in the entertainment industry
Exceptional project management and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
Preferred Qualifications
Strategic planning experience in a U.S.-based organization
Understanding of entertainment industry licensing and distribution models
Digital marketing and analytics skills
Interest in anime and manga subculture
Experience coordinating international operations
