Communications Associate
The UC Law San Francisco Office of Communications seeks a part‑time associate to support department initiatives and operations. This position requires experience with tools such as WordPress, Canva, and social media platforms for digital communications and marketing, strong project and data management skills, attention to accuracy and detail, and the ability to create and edit content including posts, articles, videos and photography that supports institutional goals and represents the College.
This role provides a prime opportunity to develop skills in communications, produce content that achieves results, and contribute to high‑impact projects. The person in this position reports to the Chief Communications Officer. The position offers schedule flexibility and hybrid work opportunities.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinating project logistics
Executing email newsletters
Tracking and managing project progress
Making website updates
Creating content for social media posts and monitoring accounts
Conducting project research
Assisting with performance tracking of content
Assisting with miscellaneous administrative work
Exercising strong professional judgment and upholding legal, college and office expectations for confidentiality
Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proficiency with WordPress, Canva, and MS Office
Proficiency with social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn
Experience with photography and video shooting and editing
Experience creating graphics for digital use
Strong writing and editing skills
Enthusiasm for contributing to effective communications on behalf of an organization, especially in higher education
An appreciation for the role of diversity, equity, and inclusion in communication
Experience producing communications for an organization
