Rothe is seeking a Photo Operations Intern to provide institutional film scanning projects and general photographic work requests support to the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS delivers multimedia and technical content for NASA, and provides IT management for NASA’s Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Office of Communications (OCOMM). The role supports photographing rocket launches, producing videos, managing social media, and overseeing multimedia communication.
SALARY RANGE: $39,000 - $41,000

Job Description
Rothe is hiring a Photo Operations Intern to support institutional film scanning projects and general photographic work requests. Photo Operations supports multiple work packages and organizations at JSC through photographic print products, film scanning and conversion, digital image manipulation, and image dissemination. The JSC Institutional Film Scanning project aims to convert over 1.5 million film frames to digital files for delivery to the National Archives. Responsibilities include maintaining image resolution, color, contrast, and accurately recording official NASA frame numbers during conversion.
This internship is at Johnson Space Center (JSC) with work performed on‑site in Building 8.
Duties
Film Scanning

Photographic Printing and Mounting
On‑site position; the intern bears travel costs to the nearest NASA Center for badging and issue of NASA IT equipment.
Education
Currently pursuing a degree; college intern for three months.
Skills
Working knowledge of Windows/PC platform
Knowledge of MS Office
Ability to use Adobe Photoshop
Strong organizational and detail‑oriented skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work with little supervision and within a team
Dependable, self‑motivated, and flexible
Minimum Requirements
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, OneDrive); working knowledge of Photoshop, digital photography file formats, SharePoint, and Box is a plus.
