General Summary
The coordinator, under the general direction of the Branch Manager, is responsible for managing the Creative Studio schedule, classes/activities, and equipment at the assigned branch. At the direction of the Chief Deputy Director this position will also provide systemwide support for studio budgeting, equipment maintenance and replacement schedules, and develop and evaluate procedures for all Creative Studios.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for coordination of assigned branch Creative Studio activities including studio orientation on use of equipment as well as classes and programs for the public utilizing studio equipment.
Responsible for maintaining inventory of supplies, maintenance of equipment, and upkeep of physical space at assigned branch.
Responsible for training designated staff on best practices for using studio equipment.
Develop a comprehensive yearly budget for all Creative Studios.
Provide support to branches without studios that have similar equipment for public use.
Responsible for systemwide maintenance and replacement schedule for all studio equipment including but not limited to 3D printer, Cricut, Sewing Machine, Embroidery Machine, Serger, Laser cutter, heat press, Large Scale printer, and screen print station.
Create, maintain, and evaluate procedures for Creative Studios equipment and services.
Coordinate with Procurement Coordinator on the requisition of studio equipment and supplies and maintain an inventory of supplies shared systemwide.
Call and lead monthly meetings of Creative Studio staff across system.
Represent the library at external programming and outreach events.
Keep informed of current creative services and trends related to public libraries.
Participate in committees and/or organizations that support the library’s mission and goals.
Candidates should be good listeners and communicators, present a positive attitude, enjoy working cooperatively as a team member, and place top priority on customer service.
Must be flexible to assume additional responsibilities and scheduling requirements as needed to meet the coverage needs of the adult services desk.
Must be flexible to assume additional responsibilities and scheduling requirements as needed to meet the needs of creative studio spaces across CCPL.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge and ability to operate all Creative Studio equipment.
Ability to create and teach unique and engaging programing for the library community utilizing studio equipment.
Ability to use tact, courtesy and good judgment when communicating with coworkers, and the public.
Ability to communicate effectively and present ideas orally and in writing.
Ability to conduct assignments independently and work collaboratively with a team.
Ability to demonstrate knowledge, appreciation, and understanding of library materials, both print and electronic.
Qualifications and Requirements
MLIS degree with two (2) years post degree experience preferred.
Eligible for or hold South Carolina State Library Certification.
Experience using Creative Studio equipment including but not limited to 3D printer, sewing and embroidery machine, laser cutter, heat press and Cricut.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn and use new methods and emerging technical advances.
Must possess excellent customer service skills, ability to get along well with others and to communicate effectively with the public and with library staff, a strong work ethic.

$56,513.60 - $63,648.00 annually commensurate with education and experience.
