Havas Media Group North America, the Media Experience agency, is looking for a Buyer to join the Video Investment Team, part of our global community of 10,000 team members who are focused on using Meaningful Media to make a meaningful difference to brands, businesses, and people.

Within Havas Media, the Buyer, Video Investment is responsible for the negotiation and placement of all media for existing clients, in addition to making special recommendations to be presented to the client and key account management personnel. As a Buyer, Video Investment, you are responsible for all video, FEP, and advanced TV negotiations and account maintenance. This role reports into the Video Investment Manager.

A DAY IN THE LIFE MIGHT LOOK LIKE:

Creates and executes Video buys from start to finish.

Negotiates and documents rates, special placements and added value.

Executes all Media plans while adhering to established budgets and timelines.

Clearly and accurately communicates orders and changes to media vendors.

Monitors buys in progress, and is responsible for overseeing the post-buy results of all buys.

Tracks media expenditures in Havas Media system(s) to ensure budget compliance.

Researches and maintains record of trends, innovations and changes that affect media landscape.

Provides new and profitable ideas to grow clients’ business.

Acts as liaison between media vendors and the agency.

Gathers, organizes and presents competitive research and spending data, as requested.

Provides market analysis and other reports, as requested.

Mentor and support junior team members.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED/SKILLS:

1-3 years of media buying/planning at a media agency.

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.

The ability to work across multiple clients, various planning teams, creative teams, traffic teams, etc. Constantly communicating internally to keep teams informed. Manages internal and external timelines and deliverables

Understanding that each day will bring new challenges and require the ability to pivot in real time and stay calm under pressure

Ability to establish and build strong interpersonal relationships between: agency– client, all intra-agency teams, outside agency partners, third party vendors, etc.

Ability to work well within a team setting

Demonstrate willingness to help the team and professionalism with everyone you work with

Possess a solid understanding of the media landscape and company functionality– Be able to think holistically and recognize how each piece works together to see the full picture

Being able to articulate both verbally and in writing. Keeping everyone on your team in the loop on projects, buys, etc.

Exhibits strong communication skills with clients, sales reps and planning teams – tailoring the communication as necessary

Ability to work with numbers and formulas, as well as check your work
