
Public Affairs Manager

As Public Affairs Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Milence’s external positioning in a complex European policy and stakeholder environment. You will help ensure that our voice is heard where it matters most—at EU, national, and regional level—while supporting our rapid growth across multiple markets. Reporting into the Public Affairs Lead, you will develop and execute Milence’s public affairs strategy, strengthening relationships with policymakers, public authorities, industry associations, and other key stakeholders. You will work closely with internal teams across markets to anticipate regulatory developments, support policy alignment, and position Milence as a trusted partner in the energy and mobility transition. This role is based in Brussels, Belgium.
Your Responsibilities Are
You will develop and implement Milence’s public affairs and government relations strategy at EU and national level
You will monitor and analyze policy, regulatory, and legislative developments relevant to e‑mobility, energy, transport, and infrastructure
You will build and maintain strong relationships with policymakers, public authorities, industry bodies, and strategic partners
You will represent Milence in external forums, working groups, and industry associations
You will support market entry and expansion by advising on public policy and stakeholder engagement strategies
You will prepare briefings, position papers, and key messages for internal and external use
You will work closely with Communications, Legal, and Commercial teams to ensure aligned messaging and advocacy
You will act as a trusted internal advisor on public affairs topics across the organisation
Who are we looking for?
You bring several years of experience in public affairs, government relations, or policy roles, ideally within infrastructure, energy, transport, or mobility
You hold a bachelor’s degree in political science, European Studies, International Relations, EU or public law or similar fields
You have a strong understanding of EU and/or national policy processes and regulatory environments
You bring proven ability to engage effectively with public stakeholders and senior decision‑makers
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English & French; Spanish or Italian would be a strong plus
You have a strategic mindset combined with a hands‑on, pragmatic approach
You are comfortable working in a fast‑paced, international, and scaling organisation
You have strong collaboration skills and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes
