
Video Production Specialist (with Instructional Design Expertise)

Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled
Instructional Designer & Video Production Specialist
to join our training team. This hybrid position combines instructional design expertise with hands-on video production skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in both creating engaging
e-learning content
and developing
training videos
involving real-life scenarios and actors.
Please note : The client will only consider
local Michigan candidates . Remote work is allowed most days, but the role will require
on-site presence
for
video shoots
at various locations, including
Jackson, MI , and other service centers.
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Design :
Design and develop
e-learning modules ,
job aids , and
ILPs
using tools like
Articulate 360 ,
Storyline , and other instructional design software.
Collaborate with stakeholders to create content that aligns with training objectives.
Video Production :
Lead end-to-end video production, including
pre-production
(scriptwriting, storyboarding),
production
(filming, camera setup), and
post-production
(editing with tools like
Adobe Premiere Pro ).
Develop training videos with
real-life scenarios , such as
sexual harassment
or
ethics training , involving
actors
and on-location filming.
Edit raw footage and sync audio with visuals to produce polished, professional training videos.
Create
basic animations
(text boxes, simple shapes) to enhance video content.
Collaboration and Reporting :
Work closely with instructional designers and other team members to ensure video content integrates smoothly with other training materials.
Maintain a portfolio showcasing both instructional design and video production work.
Qualifications
Experience :
2-4 years of experience in
instructional design
and
video production .
Strong experience with
Articulate 360 ,
Adobe Premiere Pro , and other instructional design tools.
Hands-on experience in
video production , including
filming ,
editing , and
producing training content
involving
real-life scenarios .
Technical Skills :
Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite
(PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
Experience with
camera setup ,
audio syncing , and
video editing
software.
Other Requirements :
Local to Michigan : Only candidates based in Michigan will be considered, as travel to
Jackson, MI
or other service centers for video shoots is required.
Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

This is a
hybrid position . Remote work is permitted, but candidates must be willing and able to travel for
on-site video shoots .
