Salary:

$58,000 to $65,000 per year

Duties and Responsibilities

Is responsible for assisting FPS Program Director in the clinical and administrative operations of the FPS Program

Maintains a caseload when needed, utilizing FPS program model and providing concrete services if necessary. Is directly accessible to families 24 hours a day/7 days a week

Assists families by actively referring them to appropriate longer-term services and support, if necessary

Works cooperatively with staff from CP&P and other community agencies, especially regarding case management issues

Participates in on-going training provided by DCF and Rutgers University

Completes all necessary paperwork in a timely basis and in a professional manner

Supervises the 3, 6 and 12-month follow-ups of families to determine success of FPS interventions

Provides supervision to direct service staff

Provides counseling and/or a variety of direct counseling services

May perform specialized activities and functions specific to program

May be responsible for administrative functions for the program

Contributes on Agency committees and special tasks

May represent Agency and program in the community

Provides leadership to staff, and promotes a sense of agency with co-workers and staff, and communicates in ways that support agency missions and values

Requirements

Master of Social Work (MSW) degree or Masters in related counseling field required

Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or equivalent certification preferred

Must have a car, valid registration, insurance and driver's license

Experience working with families and children, and knowledge of crisis intervention, cognitive/behavioral skills, communication skills

Overall ability to relate to and engage multi-problem families

Capability to absorb and utilize skills presented within the FPS training
