About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Marketing and Communications to serve as the senior leader for institutional brand, reputation, and enterprise-wide marketing and communications. This newly established, cabinet-level role is pivotal in providing strategic leadership for marketing, communications, executive messaging, digital strategy, and reputation management. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a cohesive, integrated marketing and communications strategy that aligns the organization's various voices and priorities, and must demonstrate the ability to guide enterprise-wide initiatives and foster collaboration across different divisions.
Candidates for the Vice President for Marketing and Communications position at the company should hold a master’s degree with at least 8 years' of experience in a relevant field, or a bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years' of experience. Significant senior-level leadership experience is essential, with a strong preference for those who have worked in higher education, the public sector, or similarly complex, mission-driven organizations. The role requires a trusted advisor to the President and senior leadership, and the ability to advance marketing and communications as strategic partners in achieving institutional goals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in brand management, and be adept at guiding and implementing marketing and communications strategies that support the organization's mission and enhance its national visibility.
