Job Description

$14 per hour!

As a Student Audio-Visual Technician, you will provide technical help with a wide array of audio-visual equipment to customers and guests of the Kellogg Center. You will also be responsible for keeping all audio and video equipment run smoothly including:
flat screen televisions
projectors
microphones
sound systems
laptops
audio monitors
It is your job to make sure the Kellogg Center receives the best possible customer service.

Required Qualifications

Be enrolled as a student at Michigan State University (during academic year).
Demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service.
Must be a motivated self-starter and able to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
Good communication skills (written and verbal) and be positive and respectful, especially when working with a diverse population.
Must be dependable and punctual.
Some audio-visual experience or technical aptitude required.
Be able to occasionally work nights and/or weekends.
Must be able to work Summer 2026 and ideally through Fall 2026 semesters.
Preferred Qualifications

Any AV experience working on projectors, microphones, sound systems, etc.

Must be able to move up to 20 pounds.

Work Hours

15-20 hours
Variable depending on operational needs - Including evenings, weekends, holidays, and university breaks.
