Job Summary
WECT is looking for a driven, creative photojournalist/videographer to join our award‑winning news team. This is a full‑time, entry‑level‑friendly position ideal for someone hungry to grow, learn, and build a career in broadcast journalism.

What You'll Do

Capture the story – gather compelling video, conduct interviews, and collect information in the field.

Edit with purpose – cut and package content for broadcast, digital, and social platforms.

Go live – set up and execute live shots that put viewers at the center of breaking news.

Collaborate and lead – work independently in the field and as a key contributor to the news team.

Qualifications & Requirements

Self‑motivated with a strong work ethic and a passion for storytelling.

Strong communication skills on the phone, in the field, and in the edit bay.

Ability to thrive under deadline pressure, both solo and as part of a team.

Experience in news or video shooting/editing is a plus, but not required.

Valid driver’s license.
