What will you do?
The Sales Director is a strategic and results-driven leader who will support our growth and expansion. Reporting to the VP of Sales, you’ll be responsible for continuing the build of our book of business with new logos by growing and managing your Sales Team. You possess extensive knowledge of the HR industry, workflows, processes, and the ability to communicate the differentiated value of our platform. You will lead a team of Account Executives in the Mid-market (250 employees to 1000 employees) and work closely with our Sales Engineering department. You are a forward-thinking, collaborative, creative leader who is passionate about growing their team at a company that is changing what people thought HR could do.
Note: We will only consider candidates located in the NYC Metro Area and/or Boston Area who can come to our NYC office as needed. We love collaborating and connecting with our team members in-person, and we hope you will too!
Qualifications
Base salaries for this role range from $150,000–$200,000. Additionally, this role has a variable compensation component.

Our pay bands are wide because great candidates come with a broad range of experience and skill sets. Pay decisions consider depth of experience, qualifications relative to incumbents, and location, among other factors.
HiBob is authorized to hire in the following states: CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, MA, MD, MN, NC, NH, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA. Candidates must reside in one of these states to be considered for employment.
Requirements
Requirements indicate typical qualifications for the role, and we welcome strong candidates even if every item isn’t met.
- 5+ years of managerial and leadership experience of SaaS sales teams
- 8+ years of experience in SaaS, B2B sales for global organizations
- A hunter and closer with proven negotiation skills
- Experience with Mid‑Market/Enterprise clients
- Passionate about building and managing a high-performing team
- Exceptional ability to effectively communicate and influence
- Analytical orientation to drive results, with forecast accuracy and revenue targeting
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and desire to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related fields
- Experience with HR‑tech products is a plus
Responsibilities
- Recruit top sales talent into the organization
- Achieve annual sales team quota and quarterly targets; deliver regional bookings goals via prospecting, qualifying, selling, and closing
- Manage day-to-day performance of Account Executives and track KPIs
- Provide continuous forecast for weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales objectives and pipeline accuracy through Salesforce
- Develop and implement regional pipeline growth strategies
- Collaborate with SDR/BDR, SE Managers, and Marketing to improve conversion rates
- Coach and provide ongoing skills assessments of your team
- Work with customers to understand their business needs and goals
- Target key decision makers, determine buying readiness and timelines
- Network with market influencers, consultants, and partners
- Ensure new employees are properly onboarded, ramped, and trained
