Radio Technician
Seeking an Electronics Technician to provide hands-on electronics equipment support. This role involves applying industry-leading technology related to tactical and secure communications and providing technical advice to integrate technological applications to enhance operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to field personnel and apply technology related to tactical and secure communications.
- Provide technical advice to integrate technological applications to enhance operational requirements.
- Plan, organize, and conduct studies and forecasts to establish technology for operational support.
- Coordinate on projected systems, capabilities, compatibility, costs, and benefits.
- Assist in the implementation of nationwide long-term projects.
- Evaluate proposed technical solutions for communications and make recommendations.
- Identify communications requirements, analyze solutions, conduct surveys, and validate final solutions.
- Serve as a troubleshooter and trainer to resolve operational and technical problems for radio systems users.
- Identify technical issues with radio communications, designing modifications and enhancements to improve system effectiveness.
- Work independently to survey areas and buildings for proper communications networks.
- Plan, coordinate, build, and install new communication networks.
- Identify and address technical failures on radio subscriber and infrastructure equipment.
- Learn new radio and/or computer hardware and software skills through independent study or training.
- Demonstrate experience with computers in programming, operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of land mobile radio equipment.
- Program and install IP video cameras and systems in covert and overt environments.
- Manage fiber optic connections and installations.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Must have experience with Motorola devices.
Clearance: Currently possess a DoD Top Secret security clearance.
Work Location: Ability to work onsite.
