Product Deployment Specialist

Position Summary
The

Product Deployment Specialist

is responsible for installing and configuring integrated operating room (OR) systems, including AV, network, and software components. This role supports the successful delivery of OR integration projects by adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Installation Standards, and work instructions.

You will work alongside a

Site Lead and a team of 2+ specialists , representing the company with professionalism in live hospital environments.

Key Responsibilities

Install and deploy integrated OR systems within medical operating rooms

Perform physical placement, installation, termination, and management of cabling and equipment

Configure and support software and system integrations

Execute assigned tasks efficiently while meeting project timelines and customer expectations

Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and external customers

Follow all SOPs, SLAs, hospital protocols, and safety standards

Maintain productive, respectful working relationships with customers and teammates

Technical Expertise (Deployment Level: Introductory)

Perform basic cable pulls, terminations, and cable management

Support software setup and configuration

Apply basic knowledge of KARL STORZ OR1 Core Integration Systems

Work with OR1 network products and peripherals, including image capture devices

Properly use tools and equipment required for deployment

Attend required technical training (field‑based, virtual, or at designated company sites)

Documentation & Administrative Responsibilities

Complete required administrative work using company‑issued technology (iPhone, computer, software)

Submit timekeeping, expense reports, and documentation accurately and on time

Cost‑effectively manage travel and equipment expenses

Maintain current hospital credentialing and comply with all facility access requirements

Uphold professional conduct and company standards while onsite

Minimum Qualifications (Required)
Experience & Education

3‑5 years of relevant experience (AV, cabling, network systems, medical devices, or similar)

High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Technical Skills

Basic experience with AV systems, network‑based systems, cable pulling/termination, or related technology

Proficient with hand tools (e.g., voltmeters, solder stations, crimp tools)

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, and Excel

Familiarity with mobile tools and applications

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and project schedules

Team‑oriented mindset with a strong customer focus

Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Willingness to learn, accept coaching, and follow established processes

Ability to meet and maintain all hospital credentialing requirements

Preferred Qualifications

1‑2 years of experience in an integrated OR or hospital environment

Basic understanding of cable termination methods (solder, crimp, compression, fiber)

Familiarity with various cable media (CAT5/6, fiber optic, coax, multiconductor, copper)

Experience with rack and field termination and cable dressing

Ability to mount AV equipment such as wall displays and speakers

Exposure to control systems, network devices, power amplifiers, or video systems

Ability to read and interpret schematics

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

Frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and twisting

Work performed from floor level to above shoulder height

Lift/carry 1‑35 lbs routinely; 36‑100+ lbs with assistance

Ability to climb ladders and work at heights

Work in tight spaces and around sensitive medical equipment and patients

Push/pull wheeled equipment using up to ~50 lbs of force

Safety‑sensitive role within active hospital environments

Additional Requirements

Valid driver's license with a good driving record

Ability to travel up to

80%

throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico

Flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed
