Purpose

The purpose of the Regional Commercial Director is to provide product expertise and strategic direction for the assigned sales region.

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks

Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.

  • Achieve growth and hit the annual regional sales budget by successfully managing the sales team.
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensures a strong market presence.
  • Recruit new sales reps, set their annual objectives, coach them, and monitor performance. Adjust account assignments where needed.
  • Collaborate with the corporate team to align sales, customer service, credit, logistics, and product management.
  • Review documents that may require legal review, including contracts and other agreements.
  • Build and promote strong, long‑lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and communicating their needs internally.
  • Work with the sales team to present and achieve an accurate volume and margin budget annually.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while staying aware of new products and competitive status.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Documented record of achievement in a sales representative position.
  • Significant, demonstrable market intelligence and product knowledge.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Understanding of customer needs and requirements.
  • Solid business acumen and understanding of diverse functional areas within the business.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to supervise, guide, develop, and motivate staff to achieve superior results and overarching business objectives.
  • Ability to balance guidance and autonomy based on staff skill level, knowledge, and competence.

Minimum Qualifications / Education / Experience / Certifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 7+ years of relevant work experience in a similar title and scope of responsibility.
  • Licenses / Certifications:
    • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Language:
    • Proficiency in English required.
    • Bi‑Lingual Spanish is a plus.

Work Environment / Conditions

  • Must be adaptable to work in a shared space with constant noise, with or without a private office.
  • This position is a hybrid in‑office and/or work‑from‑home role.

Physical Requirements / Demands

  • Regular communication, reading, comprehension, and typing on a consistent basis.
  • Travel by foot, car, bus, airplane, or other means of transportation, which may involve sitting, waiting, and standing for long and short periods.

Compensation: $150,000–$180,000 DOE and bonus eligibility.
