Position Overview
The UX/UI Artist is responsible for designing intuitive, user-friendly, and visually engaging interfaces across the organization’s digital platforms and products.
This role focuses on improving user experience by creating clean layouts, clear navigation, and effective visual communication.
Operating at the intersection of user experience, interface design, and visual communication , this role is critical to ensuring users can interact with platforms easily and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
User Interface Design Design UI elements such as:
Layouts
Menus
Buttons
Navigation systems
Ensure interfaces are visually clear and consistent

User Experience (UX) Design Improve usability and accessibility of digital platforms
Focus on intuitive user flows and interactions
Ensure ease of navigation and interaction

Wireframing & Prototyping Create:
Wireframes
Mockups
Prototypes
Translate ideas into visual designs

Visual Design & Consistency Maintain consistent visual style across platforms
Align with brand guidelines
Ensure polished and professional designs

Collaboration with Development Teams Work with:
Developers (implementation)
Product or program teams
Ensure designs are feasible and implemented correctly

User-Centered Design Design with user needs in mind
Focus on clarity, accessibility, and usability
Improve overall user satisfaction

Feedback & Iteration Revise designs based on:
Feedback
Testing results
Continuously improve user experience

Design Documentation Create and maintain:
Design guidelines
UI patterns
Ensure consistency across products

Accessibility & Usability Apply accessibility best practices
Ensure designs are inclusive and usable for diverse users

Problem-Solving Identify usability issues
Propose design solutions
Improve user flows and interactions

Continuous Improvement Stay current with UX/UI trends and best practices
Improve design processes and workflows
Enhance overall user experience

Volunteer Commitment Expectations
Estimated Commitment: 10-15 hours per week
Flexible schedule
Participation in design and product meetings required
Fully remote

Minimum Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in:
UX/UI design
Product design
Digital design
Experience with:
Design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch)
Strong understanding of:
User experience principles
Interface design

Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with:
Developers or product teams
Familiarity with:
Accessibility standards
Experience in remote teams
