Summary

The Regional Sales Manager reports to the LOGISTEED-America, Inc. Senior Director, National Sales Team.

The Regional Sales Manager will support the growth and expansion of the Company's client list and portfolio for both domestic and international business.

Essential Functions

Operations

Perform tasks safely
Ensure area housekeeping requirements are met
Abide by all OSHA rules and LOGISTEED America, Inc.'s safety practices
Meet established procedures and productivity, safety and quality standards
Meet all assigned sales and budget goals
Assist with qualifying and vetting prospective accounts and clients
Close and sign agreements with accounts that support the Company's vision in strategic business expansion
Work closely with overseas offices and agents in developing trade lane specific business
Serve as the primary point-of-contact to ensure overall health in the relationship of the Company and the account/client
Offer exemplary customer service and support with the goal of expanding business and gauging further sales opportunities from existing accounts
Effectively and fairly deal with many constituents (colleagues, employees, agents, carriers, customers, etc.) via developed diplomacy and interpersonal skills to maximize sales and revenue growth within territory
Be an ambassador of LOGISTEED America, Inc. in the freight forwarding industry and represent the company in a way that reflects positively at all times to our customers and partners
Ability to travel extensively both domestically and internationally
Communicate customer issues with operations team; devise ways of improving the customer experience including resolving problems and complaints
Track customer service levels
Communications

Communicating effectively between Senior Director, NST and management team
Engage and communicate with the Operations team (both CHB and FF) to help identify and align on SOP's that may be specific to each account
Employee Engagement

Inspiring and motivating employees to perform at their best through positive encouragement and incentive initiatives
Use proven and documented accountability and coaching methods on a continual basis to develop and support the growth of a cohesive global sales team
Encourage staff to learn as much as possible about the Freight Forwarding industry
Motivate staff to take pride in the Company as part of a winning team that has the best interests of the Company in mind

Safety

Abiding by all Federal, State, and Local safety regulations, OSHA rules, and LOGISTEED-America Inc. safety practices
Communicate with legal counsel and safety department to ensure all processes remain compliant with OSHA, health and safety regulations, and other governmental regulations
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations, and ensuring adherence to housekeeping activities
Finance

Identifying financial improvements and cost savings, and implementing changes to achieve them
Conducting and tracking assigned asset management, budgeting, forecasting of assets and materials, managing company assets, ensuring regulatory compliance for fixed and tangible assets
Support the Finance/Accounting Department to help collect on outstanding invoices

Previous Work Experience

Minimum of 5 year Freight Forwarding experience
Education and Certifications

4-year college degree
Equivalent work experience will be considered
Experience Requirements and Preferences

Bachelor's degree preferred
Fluency in English
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Proven PC capabilities (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Effective, clear, and concise communication skills
Must have an outgoing personality to create best first impressions when conducting business meetings
Proven ability to cultivate relationships
Detail oriented with ability to solve problems independently as well as in a team environment
Demonstrated experience interacting, developing and maintaining customer relationships
Proven success in and improving quality, service, safety and client relationship in a fast-paced high-pressure setting
Must be sensitive and able to engage with different cultures both locally and internationally
Ability to work flexible hours according to business needs
