The Growth Copywriter will own the words across our full customer journey — from the first touchpoint to post-purchase lifecycle. They will write and optimize copy across email, SMS, direct mail, landing pages, site, blog, organic social, and brand video scripts. They will work closely with the growth and brand teams to ensure every message is clear, on-brand, and built to convert. The role reports directly to the Creative Strategist and will collaborate closely with our Lifecycle Manager, Creative Director, eCom director and Head of Growth.
The ideal candidate brings sharp instincts for direct-response copywriting and a genuine curiosity about what makes people click, open, and buy. They should be comfortable writing across a wide range of formats and tones — from a high-converting subject line to a long-form blog post to a punchy video script. They're data-informed, proactive about testing new ideas, and excited to build something meaningful in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
Lifecycle Marketing - Write and optimize lifecycle copy across email and SMS channels to drive Revenue, including welcome flows, Abandonment flows, revenue focused email campaigns
Lifecycle Marketing - Develop A/B test variations for subject lines, CTAs, and body copy to improve open rates, click-through rates, and conversion across lifecycle programs
Lifecycle - Produce direct mail copy that cuts through, communicates value quickly, and drives response - including mailers, inserts, and promotional pieces
Web - Craft compelling web copy for site pages (PDP, PLP, etc.) and landing pages that aligns with brand voice, supports SEO goals, and drives measurable conversion outcomes
Web - Partner with the growth and design teams to write landing page copy based on performance data, user insights, and ongoing testing
Maintain a deep understanding of the brand's tone, positioning, and audience to ensure consistency and quality across all copy touchpoints
Translate performance data and creative insights into new copy hypotheses and content ideas that inform the broader growth strategy
Assist in managing copy workflows within project management tools to ensure timely delivery and clear feedback loops
Review and provide feedback on copy across the creative team to uphold brand standards and messaging clarity
Requirements
Experience:
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience in copywriting, marketing, communications, or a related field
1–3+ years of copywriting experience across multiple channels, including email/SMS, web, and long-form content
Demonstrated experience writing lifecycle copy — welcome flows, promotional campaigns, re-engagement sequences, and transactional messaging
Familiarity with SEO best practices and how copy supports organic search performance
Exposure to email marketing platforms (Klaviyo specifically) and basic performance metrics
Experience with scriptwriting for video or brand content is a plus
Startup, DTC, or e-commerce copywriting experience or strong interest is a plus
Experience writing for direct mail, landing pages, and organic social is a plus

Benefits
Base salary $55,000 - $75,000 based on experience, plus bonus and equity
