Overview

Qcells Service Solutions (QSS) is a residential solar asset operations and maintenance (O&M) platform powered by Qcells, focused on performance optimization and long-term asset reliability. QSS establishes design standards and installation guidelines for EnFin TPO portfolios, delivering specialized QA/QC review services. The team provides proactive asset monitoring and issue resolution, ensuring maximum system performance, enhanced homeowner experience, and optimized returns for capital investors.

Role

Senior Director, Commercial Operations to join the Residential Business Operations team. Responsible for leading commercial strategy, partner performance, and contract execution across the residential energy portfolio. This role will own key external relationships, drive revenue optimization, and ensure scalable commercial frameworks that support long-term growth.

Responsibilities

  • Commercial Relationship Management – Own and manage strategic relationships with installers, financiers, servicing partners, and third-party vendors; serve as executive point of contact for key accounts, ensuring alignment on performance, SLAs, and growth initiatives; identify opportunities to expand partnerships, improve margins, and enhance service delivery; collaborate cross-functionally with operations, asset management, and finance teams to drive partner performance.
  • Contracts & Commercial Structuring – Lead negotiation, structuring, and execution of complex commercial agreements (MSAs, servicing agreements, financing agreements, etc.); develop standardized contract frameworks, pricing models, and risk mitigation strategies; partner with legal to ensure contracts align with regulatory requirements and company risk tolerance; continuously optimize contract terms to improve profitability and scalability.
  • Investor Relations & Reporting – Act as a primary commercial liaison for tax equity investors, lenders, and capital partners; support investor reporting, presentations, and ongoing communications related to portfolio performance; collaborate with finance and asset management to ensure accurate, timely delivery of investor materials; assist in capital raises, diligence processes, and structuring of new investment vehicles.
  • New Products & Commercial Strategy – Lead development and commercialization of new products (e.g., service offerings, asset management solutions, financial products); evaluate market opportunities and build business cases for new revenue streams; coordinate go-to-market strategies across sales, marketing, and operations; monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to inform product roadmap.
  • Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Execution – Build and lead a high-performing commercial operations team; establish KPIs, reporting frameworks, and performance metrics across commercial functions; drive alignment across departments including finance, legal, operations, and asset management; foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial operations, finance, or business development, preferably in renewable energy, solar, or asset management
  • Strong experience negotiating and managing complex commercial contracts
  • Demonstrated success managing institutional investor or capital partner relationships
  • Experience launching or scaling new products or services
  • Deep understanding of residential solar economics, financing structures (TPO, leases, PPAs), and asset lifecycle management preferred
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive presence

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in business, finance or engineering
  • 5 years of residential solar experience
