Graphic Designer

UATX is hiring a Graphic Designer to support the institution's visual output across digital, web, print, and merchandising. This is not a "brand visionary" role. It is an execution role for someone who takes pride in great typography, strong layout, fast turnaround, and careful attention to detail. The designer will also be responsible for routine web updates and visual edits within WordPress.
Responsibilities

Design Execution
Serve under the Creative Director to maintain and evolve visual systems
Create graphics for digital platforms (social media, email, web, video thumbnails)
Design print materials (event collateral, advertising, one-pagers, internal documents, signage)
Produce branded templates that maintain consistency across the institution
Prepare files for print, merchandising, and digital distribution
Web & WordPress
Make routine website updates in WordPress (text edits, image swaps, layout adjustments)
Upload and format new content pages in coordination with editorial
Maintain visual consistency and accuracy across the site
Troubleshoot basic layout or formatting issues within WordPress themes
Brand & Visual Consistency
Apply institutional brand standards consistently
Ensure materials are aligned with the university's tone and mission
Qualifications

2-5 years of graphic design experience
Strong portfolio demonstrating typography, layout, and digital work
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
Working knowledge of WordPress (content editing, page builds, basic troubleshooting)
High attention to detail and strong file organization
