Specialist, Brand and Communications (Content Development)
Position Overview
As a key member of the Brand and Communications Team, this role supports Milliken’s enterprise brand while serving as a content partner to designated Strategic Business Units (SBUs). The Specialist, Content Development plays a critical role in translating enterprise and SBU strategies into compelling, on-brand content across channels—supporting demand generation, reputation building, and storytelling aligned to shared priorities. This role works closely with SBU marketing, product marketing, PR, web, and creative services to deliver integrated content that drives business outcomes while maintaining brand cohesion.
You will create, or enable the creation of, short- and long-form content for Milliken. Examples could include social media posts, blogs, copy for print marketing collateral, ad copy, and web copy to support and align with corporate and business marketing plans. You will bring a high level of creativity to your work, executing strategies and briefs in a way that elevates our brand and drives demand. You will work cross-functionally with members of Marketing Services such as PR, Web, and Creative Services teams and closely with product marketers to execute deliverables that align with larger strategies.
In collaboration with the Marketing Services Brand and Communications team, you will be responsible for managing social media profiles representing Milliken & Company and its businesses. This could include updating profile creative, scheduling posts, procuring content approvals with businesses, and monitoring channel activity.

Job Responsibilities
Serve as the primary content partner for assigned Strategic Business Units (SBUs), translating enterprise and SBU strategies into channel-appropriate, on-brand content aligned to shared priorities and annual plans.
Identify new content opportunities for the enterprise in alignment with corporate and business annual marketing plans.
Operate within the enterprise social media management platform to manage and support social media profiles on behalf of Milliken, including publishing, optimization, monitoring, and community engagement—while coordinating closely with SBUs to ensure content aligns with platform strategy and brand governance.
Management of the employee social media advocacy platform, driving adoption, optimizing content for associate sharing, and aligning advocacy efforts with enterprise campaigns and business priorities. Collaborate with the Brand and Communications Content Team to ensure brand cohesiveness is reflected in deliverables.
Assist with in-person event coverage and content curation for social media.

Qualifications – Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Three years of proven success in a role with skills in either content creation or copywriting
Ability to demonstrate creativity in work product
Experience in the creation of both long- and short-form content
Experience in a role using social management platforms such as Brandwatch, Falcon, Sociuu, or Sprout Social, is a plus
Experience working in an administrative capacity on social media on behalf of a brand
Attention to detail and outstanding organizational and communication skills
Must collaborate well and enjoy working within a team
Demonstrate high levels of organizational planning with the ability to work on several large-scale projects simultaneously
Ability to change course quickly while still maintaining integrity of work product
Ability to impact decisions through formal and informal influence, and create alignment between teams
