Coordinator, Marketing & Audience Engagement

The New York Philharmonic seeks a Coordinator, Marketing & Audience Engagement to join the Marketing team. This position works closely with the Associate Director, Loyalty Marketing and Audience Insights to support audience loyalty and development initiatives including on-site events and activations, subscriber recognition, partnerships, and focused communication.
This role is ideal for an early career arts professional who is eager to grow their skills across a variety of direct marketing efforts while helping create meaningful connections between audiences and the Philharmonic experience.
Audience Loyalty
Support initiatives to grow audience loyalty, increase lifetime value, and drive retention, including the annual subscription campaign
Execute loyalty activations and events (e.g., subscriber receptions) in collaboration with internal teams and external partners
Partner across Marketing, Customer Relations, and Digital to ensure consistent messaging and a cohesive customer experience
Manage loyalty merchandise and vendor relationships, including sourcing, inventory, and fulfillment
Track and monitor loyalty-related expenses to stay aligned with budget
Audience Development Responsibilities
Support audience growth and engagement through lobby activations, community partnerships, and off-site events
Help acquire and engage new audiences through promotions, giveaways, and email capture/engagement initiatives
Additional Responsibilities
Provide support for Email Marketing initiatives as well as ad-hoc department-wide projects when the need arises.
Support Associate Director, Loyalty Marketing and Audience Insights with execution of audience surveys.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
What You Bring to the Team
College degree preferred
Experience working in performing arts or theatre is desirable
Experience with campaign management tools and database management (i.e. Tessitura) is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong data literacy
Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed

Work Arrangement
This position operates in a hybrid work environment. Candidates should expect a regular in-office presence, particularly during the first several months, to support onboarding, relationship building, and operational integration. Ongoing hybrid flexibility is available based on role responsibilities and organizational needs.
