At Bendix, we set the standard with advanced dynamic solutions that drive improved commercial vehicle performance and safety. The role is an entry‑level position that builds foundational knowledge of our products, customers, and sales processes while supporting the Field Sales team, with the goal of progressing into a higher‑level territory/field sales role.

Essential Functions

Provide inside sales support for the North American Territory Account Manager field sales team, collaborating with customer service to follow up on orders, shipments, and lead times, and delivering timely communication back to the sales team.

Support the Field Sales team in using and troubleshooting diagnostic tools and systems, providing first‑level technical support and escalating complex issues to appropriate specialists.

Communicate status updates to the Field Sales team and stakeholders regarding open cases and urgent issues.

Assist the pricing team with administrative processes for special pricing requests, including support of Transit bids.

Serve as the liaison between product group leaders and the field sales team to improve the response time back to the customer.

Review customer data using HANA and Power BI to identify potential opportunities for the field sales team.

Assist with managing CO OP funds and other administrative functions; support distributor and dealer promotions by coordinating materials, communication, and follow‑up activities.

Support PDP (Premier Distributor Program) updates and sales targets for each customer.

Provide inside sales regarding truck down orders, facilitate shipment timeliness, and track, escalate, and follow up on warranty claims and truck down issues.

Support strategic customer activity, including customer open houses, training events, and participation in customer calls, meetings, and presentations (virtual and in‑person).

Partner with Account Managers and Regional Sales leadership to support sales initiatives, customer meetings, and account planning activities; shadow Field Sales team members as part of professional development.

Assist with collection and analysis of field quality data to identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities.

Participate in training and development activities to build sales and technical skills.

Knowledge

Basic understanding of sales processes, pricing administration, and technical support in the commercial vehicle or heavy‑duty industry (training provided).

Familiarity with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

Willingness to learn diagnostic tools and technical support systems.

Experience

At least 2 years of experience in sales support, customer service, technical support, or related fields.

Internship or co‑op experience in a sales or technical environment is a plus.

Skills

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Excellent communication and follow‑up skills.

Technical aptitude and willingness to learn new systems.

High attention to detail and accuracy in record‑keeping.

Customer‑focused attitude with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and support multiple Field Sales team members.

Maintain an organized work area from a home office that allows for quick and efficient responses to customers.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.

Education

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, technical field, or related discipline; equivalent experience considered.

Travel Requirements

Minimal travel initially, increasing with experience and responsibilities; willing to travel for regional meetings, training, and customer events as needed.

Willingness to relocate may be required as the role progresses.

Salary and Benefits
The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Avon, OH is $65,100 – $97,700 per year. Final pay will depend on experience and education. Benefits include group health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) plan, 120 hours of vacation, 40 hours of personal paid absence, 12 paid holidays, one floating holiday, 6 weeks of paid parental leave, and eligibility to purchase company stock and annual bonuses up to 4% of salary.
