TrulyHired is hiring: Audio-Visual Technician in Durham

The Oyster River Cooperative School District is seeking an Audio - Visual Technician to facilitate the use of audio‑visual tools and resources by coordinating usage and training of tools through collaborative efforts with staff and students across the district. This is a full‑year position. Rate based on experience.

Responsibilities

Supports the use of the theater and recital hall's technical equipment, such as sound systems, lighting, rigging, and counterweight systems (where applicable).

Trains staff and students in the use of the theater's tools and equipment when necessary.

Ensures that safety protocols are in place and posted.

Recommends tools, supplies, and equipment necessary to keep equipment and supplies current.

Produces school and district events, including set‑up, operation, and control of equipment.

Provides coverage for live shows and meetings when requested.

Supports the audio‑visual needs of school board meetings, including sound, projection, and recording of both audio and video.

Edits, dubs, and compresses video for distribution on physical media or the web; also edits media products for classroom use, cable TV, and the web.

Provides excellent customer service to all users.

Maintains up‑to‑date documentation on systems and changes.

Responds in a timely manner to service issues and requests.

Repairs and replaces equipment as necessary.

Willingness to adjust work hours when needed.
