SEO/GEO Marketing Specialist - Digital Services

Our marketing team is seeking an experienced, thoughtful, and ambitious professional with a passion for fintech, media, and entertainment to support the growth of its digital services business.
The Search Team is responsible for strengthening the online organic presence of company websites through innovative search strategies. The team's primary focus is driving visibility across both traditional search engines and emerging AI generative engines. This is a highly cross‑functional role requiring collaboration with marketing, product, engineering, and strategy teams.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working with slide decks, spreadsheets, and large data sets, while also being able to clearly communicate complex SEO initiatives to non‑SEO stakeholders.
Description
In this role, you will help build and execute the organization's organic search and generative engine optimization roadmap while managing day‑to‑day SEO and GEO activities. You will partner closely with cross‑functional teams to implement scalable strategies that improve search visibility, site performance, and technical optimization.
Responsibilities
Drive and execute SEO strategy by defining detailed requirements, creating actionable engineering tickets, collaborating closely with engineering, product, and SEO project managers, and ensuring high‑quality delivery of all initiatives
Build data‑driven monthly and quarterly marketing reports by analyzing SEO performance metrics and identifying trends within complex data sets
Conduct recurring technical SEO audits to identify opportunities for optimization and communicate findings to engineering and product teams
Support initiatives focused on improving page performance, crawl efficiency, structured data implementation, and organic discoverability across search platforms and AI‑driven experiences
Collaborate cross‑functionally to align SEO/GEO initiatives with broader business and marketing goals
Minimum Qualifications
5‑7 years of SEO experience supporting enterprise‑level brands or large‑scale websites
Experience improving page load times, optimizing crawl budget, and implementing schema markup and structured metadata
Proficiency with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, Google Search Console, SEMRush, and Screaming Frog
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, including experience with Excel, Numbers, and data modeling
Functional knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, sitemaps, and structured data
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail, including spelling, grammar, tone, and clarity
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative, team‑oriented environment
Understanding of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies and how they differ from traditional SEO practices
Coding experience with languages such as Python or JavaScript
Experience with GEO‑focused platforms and tools such as Profound

12‑month hybrid contract
Locations: Cupertino, CA or Culver City, CA
Pay Rate: $70/hour
