A growing boutique PR agency in Charleston, SC is hiring an experienced Publicist to lead strategic communications for a curated portfolio of hospitality, lifestyle, and food and beverage brands. This is a hands-on, relationship-driven role with real client ownership and the opportunity to become a genuine fixture in one of the most exciting cities on the East Coast.

What You'll Do

Develop and execute strategic PR campaigns for multiple clients simultaneously across national, regional, and local outlets.
Serve as the day to day communications lead for assigned clients, leading calls, presenting strategy, and providing ongoing counsel tied to their business goals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, producers, and influencers to drive consistent and meaningful media coverage.
Pitch and secure press placements, track results, and report on PR performance in a way that connects back to client objectives.
Draft media pitches, press releases, talking points, award submissions, and bylined articles that reflect each client's distinct voice.
Identify thought leadership opportunities for founders and executives and develop those stories across media, speaking, and interview channels.
Represent the agency and its clients at industry, media, and community events in Charleston, including evening and occasional weekend engagements.
Collaborate with the social media and strategy teams to ensure integrated, consistent campaigns across all channels.
What You Bring

5+ years of post-graduate professional experience in a public relations agency environment. Agency experience is required.
Strong existing media relationships across lifestyle, hospitality, food and beverage, wellness, or consumer brand verticals.
A proven track record of securing meaningful press coverage with demonstrated client impact.
Exceptional writing and storytelling skills with the ability to adapt voice and angle for each client.
The ability to manage multiple clients and competing deadlines while staying organized and detail oriented.
A strategic mindset that moves comfortably between big picture planning and day to day execution.
Willingness to attend evening and occasional weekend events as part of client support and community engagement.
Eligibility to work in the US for any employer (sponsorship is not available).
