R0013167TheJournalism Programat Brandeis University seeks an instructor for JOUR 45A: Sports Journalism and Innovation, a four-credit course to be offered in Fall 2026. This course is designed to equip students with the skills in writing, reporting and innovation to be able to craft meaningful stories about sports and its place in society, and to produce work across multiple platforms.Candidates who have all of the following qualifications will be given preference: extensive leadership experience in sports journalism on a national level; an award-winning body of work as a sports journalist; a track record as an entrepreneurial leader who has successfully pushed innovation through newsrooms, especially those at legacy institutions; and a Bachelor’s degree.Interested individuals should submit a cover letter and CV and names and contact information for two references. The deadline for first consideration is May 17, 2026.This appointment is to a position that is in a collective bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local 509.
