Account Director, Influence

Job Summary: The Account Director, Influencer Strategy provides strategic, integrated direction for influencer & creator marketing initiatives, engaging in high-level discussions with clients to ensure alignment with brand goals and deliver measurable business outcomes. The role leads cross‑functional collaboration, contributes to industry thought leadership, and advocates for innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction for influencer marketing, aligning with brand objectives and business KPIs for top lifestyle and CPG clients.
  • Partner with Creative, Analytics, Paid Media, CX teams, and the IAT to integrate campaigns and stay ahead of digital innovation.
  • Drive communications in tactical planning and represent influencer marketing capabilities.
  • Champion innovative approaches using emerging platforms, AI insights, and trend forecasting.
  • Build and maintain relationships with talent and management agencies for reliable, quality partnerships and quick‑turn activations.
  • Serve as trusted advisor to guide clients on social, digital, and influencer best practices and uncover growth opportunities.
  • Review campaign briefs, align teams, and coordinate staffing needs with Senior Influencer Strategy Leads and Resource Management.
  • Mentor internal team, sharing best practices and emerging trends.
  • Collaborate with Senior Influencer Strategy Leads to develop case studies highlighting successful initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 8+ years in influencer marketing, digital strategy, or related discipline.
  • Proven high‑level client engagement, strategic consulting, and cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Strong knowledge of industry trends, emerging platforms, and measurement frameworks.
  • Ability to deliver measurable results and demonstrate business impact.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience mentoring and developing teams.
  • Comfortable in fast‑paced, dynamic environments with multiple stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Familiarity with influencer platforms, CRM tools (CIQ), and analytics solutions.
  • Nice to have: experience with celebrity relations, talent negotiations, SAG‑AFTRA compliance.
